Welcome to the vibrant realm of Tango Joburg, where the passion of Argentine tango finds its pulse in the heart of Johannesburg! Embark on a journey into our captivating dance community in the heart of Jozi and envelop yourself in the rhythmic enchantment of tango. Our community welcomes regulars and newcomers who share the passion for tango. Among the most delightful ways to acquaint yourself with tango is by partaking in a milonga, a convivial gathering devoted entirely to the art of Argentine tango. Tango Joburg orchestrates regular milongas at diverse locales, predominantly on Sunday evenings.

We offer weekly lessons, and Milongas at venues in and around Johannesburg. Some venues are charming restaurants, while others unfold in the comfort of private homes and unique spaces. Our roster of DJs, and occasionally live bands, ensures a rich array of tango music styles - catering to all tastes. Milongas encompass more than just dancing; they encompass forging connections, kindling friendships, and revelling in joy.

The Feldenkrais Method is an approach to movement and learning that emphasizes gentle, mindful motion to reduce stress and alleviate chronic pain and help to improve posture. By slowing down and paying attention to how each movement feels, you become more attuned to body sensations. This mindful approach calms the nervous system, which in turn helps to reduce stress and pain. When you're calmer, your body feels safer and can move with greater ease, allowing healing to take place more naturally.

Wednesday night Intermediate level classes are fun, informative and challenging. 💃🏻So, if you are well past the basics of tango and have at least 6 months experience, Please join Sonia Amador, along with a great group of students. Sonia is also available for private (one on one) lessons in which her joy for teaching and sharing her love

of technique is clear! She teaches leading and following dynamics as well as rhythm and timing.
